Universal Peace Foundation has been publishing regularly materials on contribution of Islam in its modern context. Through pamphlets and hand-outs the Foundation has been able to reach a large readership interested in understanding the message of Islam. The feedback has been encouraging. The foundation is counting the efforts for elucidating Islamic thoughts that had remained ambiguous to many minds. It is holding meetings and communicating to achieve this goal.

I deem it an honour to have been provided an opportunity to address such a gathering of illustrious people who enjoy the respect and esteem of the followers of different religions. As humble student of history, religion and morals, I deem this Parliament of world religions to be the most appropriate forum to talk about the Man who can truly be called the moulder of the course of human history, who gave man light and knowledge, reason and freedom of thought when it was grapping in the darkness of ignorance, blind customs and traditions. This man was Prophet Mohammad (peace be on him) who has once saved the world from committing suicide, and whose teachings are still capable of showing the path of safety and salvation to the world today.

“We sent thee not, save as a mercy for the peoples”. XXI: 107 (Holy Qur’an)

I have just recited before you a verse from Surah Anbiya of the Holy Qur’an. In it God addresses the holy Prophet to tell him that he had been sent as a mercy for the whole world and all the peoples that might be born on this planet. This was, indeed, a unique declaration, or if I could say so, a revolutionary proclamation for the entire humanity. And, this was included by God in a Scripture which was destined to be read, after its revelation, in every age, time and clime, by billions of men in every nook an every nook and corner of the world……..

This present book is the very first printed in English language and carries with it, the importance both of the subject and the author “The revolutionary massage4 of Islam” is a paper presented at the parliament of world religions in Chicago in 1993.
